It's the week of Halloween and the last week of October! The Question of the Week is: ***If you could dress up like any character from a book that you have read, who would you choose to dress up as? Example: a few years ago, I dressed up as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" from the book by L. Frank Baum. I wish I could find the picture that I took to share but I can't find it! Have a great week! Question of the Week: What book are you reading right now? Do you LOVE IT, LIKE IT, IT'S JUST OK, or CAN'T WAIT TO GET A DIFFERENT ONE because it's awful or boring? I am reading "The Unwanteds" by Lisa McMann. It's an Iowa Children's Choice Book for 2013-2014 and it got me hooked right at the first chapter. I LOVE IT so far and those of you getting your teams for Battle of the Books in 4th and 5th grade, I hope that you will enjoy this book too! (We will sign up for teams officially starting on October 28!!) The Book Fair is almost here. It is one of my favorite times of year!! Not only does it help our library buy more books and supplies but it puts new books into your hands! The Question of the Week this week is about the Book Fair: What is your favorite part of the Book Fair or what are you looking forward to the most? QUESTION OF THE WEEK: So I am wondering, how many of you have Kindles, Nooks or iPads at home that you read books on? Do you like books better or e-books? I'm wondering how much of an interest there would be in purchasing electronic books for the library and if you'd check them out or if you still like "real" books better. |
