It feels like Fall is here a little early this year? Soon the trees will start changing colors and leaves will be falling. This is one of my favorite times of year! Which season do you like best and why?
Winners of last week's prize drawing: Vanessa V, Joel J, Christopher P, Finley H, Alexia M, Laysha B!!! Come to the library to pick out your prize and thank you for participating in my blog!! :-) I am so happy with the start to this school year. Learning how to use the computers and the library catalog is going great! I am so impressed with how quickly you all are learning! I am also pleased to see so many students WANTING to help keep the library nice! Offering to help in the library has been wonderful and I really appreciate you being Caring Comets!
Question of the Week: Let's see how many students are reading this. Tell me your favorite "change" in the library this year (or your favorite part about the library) and you will be entered in the drawing for a prize!! Good luck and let's get writing! It's almost here: the doors will open soon and you will be here! I cannot wait to see all of your faces. I hope that you had a great summer and you are ready to begin a new year. I have also been looking to see who has been posting on here this summer and who will remember to post before school begins? SO: the 1st question of the year...
What was your favorite thing that you did this summer OR the favorite book that you read? GO! I hope you are all having a fabulous summer so far?!? I have been working A LOT at the library. Just wait until you see the changes at "Back to School Night"!! I also got to work at my son's musical which was fun. Then I went to Omaha, Nebraska to see Bruno Mars in concert!! WOW! We then went to the zoo the next day and I saw lots of cool animals. I've also been reading a lot. I just got done with "When You Reach Me", "The Grimm Legacy", and the first book of "The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place: The Mysterious Howling" They were all really good! What have YOU been doing this summer so far? What are you reading?!? Please share! I miss you all!!! It's Friday and a student gave me a birthday cupcake! So, it's been a long time since our last question hasn't it? Things have been crazy: weather, Good Reader Program, Battle of the Books, Book Fair!! Tell me this: Think about EVERYTHING we have done in Library so far this year. What has been your favorite? It can be a book, an activity we did, a project, whatever! Please share with this blog what you've enjoyed the most so far in 2013-2014. Don't forget to put your name! I am currently getting ready to have an after-school club for Battle of the Books students. I would like to know how many of you can stay after school on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00 starting sometime in February? It won't be EVERY Tuesday but we'll do as many as we can to get ready for the competition! Please respond and let me know if you can come!
